Don’t lose heart

,

In 2 Corinthians 4:16 says, So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day.
The beginning of the New Year brings hope and desire for new great things. We plan and make resolutions get excited about the endless possibilities.  It also brings with it the anxiety of goals or dreams yet accomplished. We calculate how much time we have left. We get older and think we are running out of time. We ask ourselves will this dream really happen? We allow the things we are living or going through to overwhelm us.

To lose heart is to forget what you were called to do. To lose heart is to give up on your dreams. To lose heart is your lose focus on the reason we do what we do.

Yes,  time waits for no one. Seasons come and go. People come and go. But we are to hold on and not lose heart, not lose our love and focus for life.  Our inner self is being renewed every day. With every experience comes wisdom and knowledge on how to do things better. With every difficult situation a stretching of our abilities and strengths.

So my dear friends on this the 2nd week of 2017 I remind you that from within you have what it takes to continue and to be renewed. You can survive this! You can thrive from this! You can overcome this! Do not lose heart!

Merita’s Heart ❤

Ps. If you have been battling with yourself and thinking about giving up say this prayer with me. Lord God almighty I come before you knowing full well that every situation I go through can make me stronger and wiser after I have lived through it. I ask you for strength as I push forward and peace as I live through it. I ask that you remind my heart that it is loved, called and taken care of by you. Renew my mind, my heart, my strength. In Jesus name I pray Amen.
