There are moments when we are so beat down and tired, emotionally, physically, mentally and wonder; what can we do? When we don’t even feel like we have anything we can give? Those are the moments when a simple but profound word and my arms raised rescues me. A word of worship from my heart, a Hallelujah has the power to make me feel held.
You see when a child is hurting, tired, in pain or sad they look for that loving person that they can lift their hands to.
This is something they learn on their own because they know “if I just lift my hands, if they just hear my voice, if they just see me reaching out they will pick me up”.
Psalms 91:1-2 says…He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”
When you don’t know how to pray or what to say just raise your hands and reach for the one that can pick you up. Extend your arms to the one that can lift you, to the one that like a strong loving father can pick you up and hold you in His arms. Even when your only praise is a broken Hallelujah. If you lift your hands He will pick you up. He will be your refuge.

Ps. If you are feeling like you need to be held, like you just want to be picked up and held. Listen to this song and just lift you arms and say Hallelujah. Ask the father to come and hold you and rest in his arms.
